The Outdoor Center

For those of you who want to get off the beaten path a bit and explore the trails of the New River Gorge, you can reach the Fern Creek and Nuttall trail heads within 5 minutes of the Wildwater campground.  This is part of the National Park trail system that takes you all over the gorge past amazing scenery and monstrous rock outcrops.  The network of trails is such that you can design a hike to your tastes.  Hike for 15 minutes or all day!

Wildwater will still offer you bunk cabins, just more of them.  Bunk cabins are a great alternative to tent camping because you don't have to set anything up and you don't have to worry about waking up in a puddle because you didn't put the groundcloth down right.  Just huck your gear inside and enjoy your vacation.
