Kayak Clinic
Wildwater’s beginner course introduces you to the techniques needed to begin the exciting sport of whitewater kayaking. Paddle strokes and boat maneuvering will be practiced on flat water. In the beginner/intermediate course you’ll be given the opportunity to fine-tune basic paddling skills and to build confidence maneuvering in Class II whitewater. At the intermediate level you will move on to more advanced techniques needed to run bigger whitewater. Development of reliable braces and a whitewater roll may be practiced. This course is tailored to the participant’s previous paddling experience as well as their ability to pick up and execute concepts.

Kayak touring is great if you want to just take some time to unwind. Touring kayaks are stable and easy to paddle, which makes this trip great for all ages. Enjoy touring the cool blue waters and the cliffs that contain Summersville Lake. Take a break for a refreshing swim or relax on the shaded shores while you enjoy lunch. Our experienced instructor/guide will help you learn the fundamentals so you can enjoy this hidden jewel.
