Team X-treme Rafting
Take the Gauley River to a New Level
Not everybody can hang with the big dogs. Gauley River Team X-tream pushes your whitewater limits. On an X-treme trip, you'll be running the biggest waves and steepest drops while paddling the smallest rafts we offer (which means you've got a MUCH higher chance of finding yourself in the drink). If you think you have what it takes to become a member of Team X-treme, then book your trip now. Upper Gauley River High Adventure
For those looking for the ultimate rafting experience, we offer our High Adventure option on all Gauley River trips. The smaller rafts and smaller guest-to-guide ratio will show you a whole new Upper Gauley River. The wildest ride going, it's sure to leave you feeling ten feet tall and bullet proof. Ask one of our friendly reservation experts about this option and they’ll get you squared away. We require at least 3 guests for this trip. If there are only two of you, you may pay for the third slot to get that 2:1 guest to guide ratio. Of course, you’ll have to paddle extra hard as well!
Double Upper Gauley
When people will tell you they’ve run the Upper Gauley, you’ll just smile and nod, knowing that you’ve done the fabled Upper Gauley TWICE in one day with our Double Upper Gauley Trip! No two runs on the Upper Gauley are the same, and this trip is no exception. Don't make the mistake of getting smug after your first run; one of the Big Five might just remind you who the mortal is. Sometimes there is a score to settle and it is nice to have the second chance to go back and get another crack at the likes of Insignificant, Pillow Rock, Lost Paddle, Iron Ring and Sweet’s Falls. Do you have what it takes to run the Upper Gauley River twice in one day?
Gauley River Marathon
Paddlers with stamina, this is for you. On the Gauley River Marathon, you run the Upper and Lower Sections in one day. It has all the same thrills as a 2-day trip without as much driving! Put in at Summersville Dam and don’t stop (except for lunch) until you hit our private take-out at Sugar Creek, right after Pure Screaming Hell. (This saves you 3 miles of flatwater at the end of the day that other outfitters have to paddle.) This trip starts early and ends late, so make sure you are ready to roll.
